Good day Gamers! Today this post is going to be short and sweet. Just a few days ago a bunch of lesser known games came out at the start of September and one I’ve had my eye on since Gamescom was Cronos The New Dawn. This game is my kind of vibe all the way through. A protagonist with a super intriguing space suit, weird mutated creatures, IMMERSION littered everywhere, and possible death or horror around every corner? count me in. This is definitely my kind of game. Here are my quick first impressions of Cronos The New Dawn.

Atmospheric Visuals
Cronos TND is visually striking with its unique character design and eerie atmosphere. It is highly reminiscent of great survival horror games like Dead Space, Resident Evil 4, Returnal, and Calisto Protocol. While it pulls from those games visually, it sets itself apart with its world and monsters. The protagonist in particular called “The Traveler” is super unique and really is a highlight of the game. All of the parts of the suit she wears look like ancient tech or alien – something not human, the design is incredibly cool. In combination with the atmospheric world, the game is looking to make a name for itself in the world of sci-fi over the shoulder immersive survival horror genre.

Final Thoughts
Cronos The New Dawn is a cool looking game for starters, and gameplay is ripped straight out of Dead Space remake. The Traveler feels weighted, and hefty, and your advance space gun feels powerful to shoot. The sound design and visuals are super immersive and there is a cool world to dive into – just on curiosity alone. While I only have about 2 hours into the game so far, I’m loving the overall experience, however, I have to say its pacing is much slower than many of those other great sci-fi horror games I mentioned previously. While it isn’t a bad thing necessarily, I did find myself feeling like I was waiting for the next fight to start – or just wandering around for a while before anything exciting happened. Again because of the interesting alien world and immersive graphics, it doesn’t feel so bad to get lost in the world, but it may be a little to slow for fans of more straight forward sci-fi action titles.

Still, I am excited to keep diving into the game and see how the whole story unfold as this kind of art style and sci-fi alien world is my vibe entirely. We’ll see how the full game ends, but in the mean time I’m loving the art direction and creepy world Bloober Team (the developer behind Silent Hill) has built.
As always gamers, thank you so much for reading my posts I appreciate you so much. Have a great week ahead and stay tuned for more posts coming up.
